I wouldn't take the lascannon on the demolisher. It can only snap fire if you use the cannon. Take something that is free.
If you haven't seen the new FAQ for Guard I'd read them.

I took the Lascannon on the Leman Russ as the other options really don't add much if I'm firing at Heavy Armor or Infantry as the Heavy Flamer won't be able to Fire and snap firing a Heavy Bolter isn't really ideal either.

I'd give it the heavy bolter anyways so you can make one of your CCS have 4 plasma. Just a thought. The lascannon won't do anything but the 4 plasma guns will do a lot. That or give your PCS the lascannon.

Dropped the Lascannon and gave 3 Plasma Guns to the 1st Veteran squad, leaving both CCS with Meltas. Figured it would work better that way as I could keep my troops at range and let the H.Q.'s go forward.

I would have thought it would be better to keep at least one HQ back for orders to you troops and also keep your Astropath or MotF alive.

With my playtesting, I've been able to keep the CCS close enough for orders with the size of the blob and my playstyle up until turn 3 by which point I'm usually moving towards FRFSRF in terms of orders.

Looks good, I run a very similar list except with only one CCS and another Russ and infantry platoon.
Do you find the Power axe useful so far. I have yet to try it out but thinking about it.

Power Axes have been godsends really. I've had about 4 games where the Blob has had to charge to prevent being overrun the next turn or to clear the 1 or 2 remaining units that my firepower couldn't finish off. Being S4 is a big difference and AP is just Icing on the cake really.

Usually my 30 man blob with commissar sits in the back and protects the objective. Taking autocannon and plasma shots. I like the idea of having some PW to protect from assault. The axe seems like the best choice.
I may drop a plasma gun or two to put some flame to protect from overwatch even more.

The only danger of running your CCSs forward is that you're begging to give your opponent slay the warlord victory point. I like to keep one back issuing orders to my blob with a lascannon and Quad cannon.

I would drop the Astropath. 3+ is plenty good and staggering your flyers will help make sure you can counter your enemies flyers coming on the table.
The Demolisher is not an optimal tank anymore. Your paying a premium for a single, STR10/AP2 shot. with the points you can go with another variant with MM sponsons giving you a 18" melta threat range w/ 2 shots for anti vehicle. I'd either convert it to a Executioner with MM sponsons, a Medusa with change leftover or a dakka Punisher or Exterminator.

@Griddle
I won't feed the Warlord directly into my opponents maw without being sure that I can keep him relatively safe. If need be, I can hang back with 1 and push forward with the other. I may actually play around and see if I can switch out the command squad for a platoon command squad.
@Glocknall
Demolisher is still a highly viable tank and an Executioner with Sponson that are melta just won't deliver as much as that S10 template. It would also be cost prohibitive. The big benefit of the Astropath is that I get those Vendettas when I need them, where I need them.
