I need the cyclone missile launcher bitz from the new plastic terminator box. I need 3 sets. I'm sure I've got something to trade.

Just as a side note, Ed, I have to ask:
Why?
I can't help you regardless, as my Deathwing is all old minis but I gotta say... You've definitely piqued my interest with this one.

Ezzeran: I'm going to make guys in power armor with cyclone missile launchers. I've seen it done before, and it looks pretty spiffy. My missile launcher devs are some of the old (and saddest looking) models in my army, so it's time for a repaint. While I've got more missile launcher bitz laying around than any man has a right to, I'd like to sneak in a conversion somehow, so here we go. Now I've just got to think up some lascannon conversions.

I'm going to put one together this weekend I think. After I paint it up I'll post a pic.

*phew* You had me worried there.
The mere suggestion of putting Cyclones on Terminators...
I thought perhaps you'd been touched with insanity.
I'd very much like to see one of these dev conversions though. Can't wait to see a pic.

Took inspiration from those marine concept sketches I take it. I seem to remember they had a few where the heavy weapon was a super spiffy backpack.
for the lascannon conversion, taking the same train of thought, why not chop up the twin lascannon from either a land raider or razorback. Then just slap it into the cyclone bitz. Then give it some green stuff luvin' and it might come out cool.

Ed, I'm thinking of doing exactly the same thing. I'm going to use 1/2 of a cyclone for each missle launcher (ie, one complete cyclone set of bits yields two devs). I'm not sure how I'm going to model them, but I am going to put them onto the backpack somehow, and make the backpack magnetic. That way I can make heavy weapon/backpack conversion, and just swap them out easy. I was inspired by a recent WD that had an Imperial fist squad in it, and a note with it said the weapon was magnetized. I'm looking forward to seeing a picture of how you do it.

Well at this point, I'm not fond of it. WAAAY too top heavy. I'm thinking I need to replace the standard backpack with something more substancial.

You could always try to do a kneeling conversion with the model. Lower the center of gravity to cure that top heaviness.

I'm going to try a diffent backpack. Something beefier will look better. So I'm either going to use the mult-melta dev backpack or the techmarine backpack (which I'm leaning strongly toward).

Ed,
Any chance of some pics, even of the "failed" versions?
I'm curious to see how it looks, and what the evolution of bad to good (hopefully) will look like.

It's too bad. I always thought the cyclone looked pretty damn good on terminators. Kinda like a Mech. Of course, the Lascannon backpacks we saw in the concept art were absolute trash, but the cyclones always looked good.
