Ok I am not very familiar with fluff and history on the 40k universe, just some little tidbits here and there. So please be kind when answering.

Can a Spacemarine chapter from the 13th founding have Relic Comtemptors and regular Contemptors in their army? If someone knows, and I am sure a few of you do, can you point me in the right direction of a timeline or some kind of reference for what is the earliest type of power armor patterns for a 13th founding chapter too.

The reason behind this is because I am building a Death Spectre army and would like to include some Contemptors and some older style power armor. I understand perfectly that I could just make the army any way I want but I would like it to make sense and stick with background and history. I know, OCD....

Any help or history lessons is very much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Mk1 armour would be exceedingly rare in any of the Chapters, since this had been phased out before or early in the Great Crusade.

Pretty much anything else is fair game, as equipment is salvaged and patched and kept in use for as long as possible.
