Hi all

For an upcoming project I want to get hold of a green similar to the old Rackham "Luminescent Green" colour (or a pot of that if anyone knows where to get it/has an unopened one they would part with), can anyone recommend anything similar? I looked on a list of miniature paint equivalents but there was nothing listed for that colour. If nothing exists, then a very gaudy lime green would also work, the final effect I'm going for is similar to this old shirt design:

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Vallejo do a flourescent green, that might be suitable.

White base with scorpion green, or Vallejo livery green would do it well. Fluoro paints tend to have rather bad coverage, so unless you definitely want the uv reaction, best to avoid.

Liquitex also make a fluorescent green, which could be mixed with other paints to adjust the green shade while keeping the luminessence.

The poor coverage is to be expected, They're transparent paints. To expect them to cover like opaque's would be foolish.

Thanks for the heads up. I did check Vallejo's page but completely missed it on their colours pdf.

I do agree that the effect might be a bit much but I wanted to give it a go. It's going to be one of the colours on my Dreadball human team so I wanted to pick something that would really stand out.

If it does prove to be too much, Warpstone Glow is a nice alternative

I did my nids in fluorescent green. Prime white, basecoated in this:

Already thin (airbrush paint...) so it will take layers. But it's so GREEN. And lights up like a roman candle under a black light.

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?
