Scar Veteran on Cold One

Level one mage with 2 Dispel Scrolls

3 units of 10 skinks (2 scouting)

2 units of 3 Kroxigors

2 Stegadons

So what did the Units Do:

Wild Rider Highborn and Wild Riders- First turn they moved into a forest and appeared in a forest in his deployment zone. They spent four turns block marching his stegadons and in the fifth turn they charged his Scar veteran and Cold One command squad and killed them all.

Alter Noble- His Hail of Doom Arrow took care of two Cold One Knights, in hand to hand he charged a unit of skinks, got wounded in hand to hand and killed it. Then he joined Treeman and Dryads in a charge on a unit of Kroxigors

Spellsingers ? moved a lot of woods! Very essential

Dryads- in turn 5 and 6 in conjunction with Treeman and Alter Noble took care of unit of Kroxigors

Glade Guard- they shot down two units of skinks and a Stegadon. Also one unit got charged by the lord on Carnosaur and managed to inflict a wound on the big beast in hand to hand and hold, even though after than they were killed.

Scouts- their shooting helped in bringing down the skinks and fled off table from a flee reaction of a Stegadon.

Waywatchers- deployed near the skink priest and shot him down in first turn and then march blocked the cold one knights.

Warhawk Riders- flitted around table and hold table quarters and shoot at Stegadons

Treeman- hid in forest and then with Strangle Roots he killed off one Kroxigor and his unit fled and this left him able to charge with friends into the other unit killing them all.

Victory for the Wood Elves 20-0

Second Game vs Dwarves

Unit of 12 Rangers

Unit of 10 Slayers

His combination of runes meant he got a free move before the game and he got first turn and so ended up midway through the table.

Wild Rider Highborn and Wild Riders- enter into forest come out in his deployment zone, charge a unit of crossbowmen which they kill and then also kill off the runelord with Anvil.

Alter Noble- Hail of Doom killed some crossbowmen and in last turn he charged the depleted unit of Hammerers.

Spellsingers- nothing much as too many dispel dice.

Dryads- hid in forests

Glade Guard-their shooting brought Hammerers down to acceptable level for the Alter Noble and another Unit shot down the Long beards to about 3 models.

Scouts- combined with Waywatchers killed off the Slayers

Waywatchers- combined with Scouts killed off the Slayers

Warhawk Riders- got Anvilled and so could not move for two turns and then just went round table doing nothing much.

Alter Noble- Hail of Doom Arrow killed off an Ogre and that was it as I was not risking much in this game.

Spellsingers ? moved forests and stopped his spells. Killed off some beasts through magic.

Dryads- won combat versus chariot and left her fleeing.

Glade Guard- brought chariot to half strength, and one unit was run down by chariot. Killed off some ogres

Thanks for the report, always nice to see some WHFB action on Dakka, and congrats on the win!
Couple things:
  • No block units in that lizard list? And 2 stegadons? Crazy stuff ...
  • I like that the dwarf list repeats no units - total variety in all selections! Also crazy.
  • Treemen scare me a little more now. Been stomping on WE for a bit now with my ogres, but haven't come across a tree yet ... which I guess doesn't give me long to figure out how to handle one
Thanks again!
