Hello, people. I don't know about you, but I'm wondering what an appropriate model for a chaos lord with the Black mace would be. (a model without much converting.) I was kinda thinking about the Chosen champion from dark vengeance.
What do you think would work?

An answer or two would make me very happy.

If not that, Thyfus would be a wonderful base for a Nurgle one.

In both cases, you only have to change the head of the weapon.

I do like the 3rd party Lord. But I'm a bit broke at the moment, and I would want an undivided lord (Kinda like an iron warrior lord). So I'll try to use what I have.
But still, do you think the chosen champion from DV would work?

That would definitely work from a counts-as standpoint; it's a pretty big model, it's holding what could be a mace/power maul of various types, and it's got plenty of detail. I would have no problem with anyone setting that down on the table and saying he's a chaos lord.

You can get a mace from the chaos knight set and use that on a custom build body.

The mace would work, but otherwise it wouldn't really fit too well for 40k.

I did mention him and I find him to be somewhat fitting, I'm just looking for other opinions.

Yeah draznicht would work really well, the only problem is that a lot of people will have him as a chosen champion...

There's a pretty good mace in the chaos knight box iirc, you can usually find knight weapons on ebay for a reasonable price. Mount the head of the mace on the haft of an axe and give it a fancy paintjob and you should be set.

I was actually planning on using the Scibor model for a Nurgle Lord, the spirits bursting out underneath him would like fantastic set up for Nurgle

I was looking for ideas on a Daemon Prince wielding a Black Mace. This thread was helpful, I'll look to convert Sauron to a power armor, winged... daemon prince.
