I am almost positive that years are by winters although if located in kislev it would be hard to say. Please help me out with facts or even ideas

The Imperial Calander begins with the date of Sigmar's coronation in year 1.

For months and such, just use our modern months. possably what they were called during the middle ages to establish a feel.

Their concepts of time are the same as ours.

Minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years.

All army timelines are generally shown with an Imperial date, Bretonnians show both the Imperial and Bret date iirc.

Armies older than the Empire show negative years for events that happened before Imperial Year 0.

As for when the Imperial year starts, that I couldn't tell you.
