Anyone else think the latest FAQ ruling on deny the witch and rune weapons is a little off. I expected talisman to be changed to +1 to Deny the witch, but I didn't see the runeweapon being lumped in with it.

Runic weapons still work the way they used to though right?

From that perspective I suppose you are right, Hoods work in a similar but reduced fashion compared with how they used to work while rune weapons kept their full capability.

What change? It is still a 4+ to stop any psychic power with in 24 inches......The most current FAQ is the 1.1....

Psychic hoods no longer have the bubble roll off from what I can see.

As it stands, a SW gets 3 chances;
a) Runic Staff of straight up negation
b) Deny The Witch
c) Wolf Tail Talisman
Have fun!
Or do what I do, and just psi-shock missile the Rune Priest with Storm Ravens. Problem solved.

Yeah but Runic weapons still do. I am not sure if I read it wrong but it seems like he was implying that the FAQ made RW only give a +1 to deny the witch instead of the 24 inch bubble of nope on a 4+. Not anymore the FAQ cleared up that you can only do one for a particular unit. It works like this now, my 10 GH with attached RP have to chose which one to use. Though if you are attacking unit of GH within 24 inches of a RP I still get a deny the witch and a RW 4+ stop if the RP is not joined to that unit.

Hoods are very poor compare to their old version - they cannot stop any non-targetted at them (or friendly within 6") power
SW get a 24" bubble that can deny *anything* on a 4+.

You only have 1 chance to cancel a psychic power, so you would not get a DTW and then a RW. You would want to use the RW as it typically is a better shot.
