Hey guys,

I figured this would be a good way to motivate myself to paint up my Cygnar army. They are my first venture into Warmachine. I will include a model list, and as I gradually add/finish models, I'll strike them off/add them to the list.

It will also be good for me to learn from everyone who comments, because I'll be the first to admit I have a lot to learn.

eHaley
eCaine
pStryker
Ironclad
Charger
Lancer
Defender
4 Trencher Infantry
6 Trencher Infantry
Trencher Infantry Grenade Porter
The Black 13th

My colour scheme is primarily blue for armour and some of the cloth, with grey used on the robes for the lower ranks (Captain and below mostly) and white/boney for higher ranks. Yellow/gold is a spot colour, not used much, only a bit. That's the plan anyway. I want snowy-style bases, but so far all I have is the texture paint from GW. What do you guys think would be good additions? Snowfalls? Rocks? Sandbags? If its snow I'd love a hint as to how you'd do yours, rocks and sandbags are easy.

My Charger is the first model which I painted

Spoiler:

Its cousin (I guess, same kind of model), the Lancer.

Spoiler:

My Trencher test model. The silver is very dull compared to what it looks like in this image, it has been washed with a darker wash. That image makes it seem like its mithril silver highlights on a mithril silver undercoat...

Spoiler:

eHaley, the caster for the 15 pt list I've put together, was third in line.

Spoiler:

Now its coming up to exams so painting will be slowed down for the next 3 weeks, but I should get atleast another trencher or two, and maybe the Black 13th as well.

I'd love any tips on painting styles, and I'd also love help on my photography. However 'buying a new camera' is out as an option, so photography hints which are more low tech would be just amazing.

Anyway, thank you for your help and comments (if there are any, if not, ah well, this thread will still help to motivate me).

On an unrelated note, has anyone noticed that the Black 13th stand as children beside Trencher Infantry models?

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Update: I've finished the min. sized trencher unit with the grenadier. Next up, washes and highlights on the Defender to finish it off and then the Black 13th.

Pictures of the plucky trenchers will follow tomorrow when my camera has charged!
