Had what seemed to be a nice agreement/trade with cormadepand
Sent a large number of Ork Bikes and Some Forgeworl BIkes to him.

Post Office screws up and loses all of the packages [3] due to bad zipcode and hand =written address according to them. Ok, stuff happens.

2 IG Valkyries.
1 Custom Baneblade 'flyer' conversion.
6-7 Aegis defense Lines
2 Imperial Bastians
1 Painted Ork Stompa.

I get...?

Stompa loosley wrapped in bubblewrap, both arms torn off and all of the tiny bits bouncing loose in the box.
Baneblade 'blob' has tails, guns, turret and wings broken off or missing from the pics.
Both Valkyries have wings snapped off and base coated in 1/4 inch of spray paint.
The Aegis were ok, BUT tossed loosly in a box with the Valkyries and Baneblade shoved in amongst them.

The box sounded like broken china when I got 2 of the 3 boxes. Still missing one. He got it back the other day.

He said it's ok, just glue it all back together. He was not remorseful over it. Complained shipping cost him so much that I needed to just get over it.

I sent him bikes in great shape. Yet after my complaints, he says he was too much of a gentleman to tell me my bikes were all 'some of the worst built monstrosities i have ever seen'.

Later states I am immature and acting like a child. He's 20, I put little credibility in his comments, then threatens how he 'could have ripped me off', but again was too much of a gentleman to do that'.

I say: Send em back, I dare you. Let me see them. He says he already 'chopped them up' for repairs.

I am seconds away from filing fraud charges with the police and later with the post office.

Seriously, I am considering being done with trading on Dakka with these 3 buyers/trades actions...

What should I do?

Please follow the formatting, and please do not put peoples' personal info in the threads

Not much you can do. However in any future trades just state the other party must ship first because of these prior issues or complete some paypal only trades / sales to get your rep up so they ship first.

I've only ever had 2 things go south here one package got lost in the mail & the other issue was resolved. Also if you've had 75 great trades as your sig sugests there should be no need for you to ever ship first, not many people have that many refs.

Thanks for the vote of encouragement. Guess I should have stuck to my guns when I said no to shipping at the same time.

This. Especially if you have many more trades than they do.everyone works their way up the totem pole and with the number of refs you have their refusal to ship first, without a similar number of refs, should be a big red flag. Also I had a similar issue maybe my story can help,

Had a deal for over $900 retail worth of SM for some Dark Eldar.
He refused to ship first *RED FLAG* because he didnt want to get screwed out of so much value.
So I suggested we ship in smaller pieces, he sends whatever he is comfortable with, then upon receipt I send an equal value sure it adds to shipping but how much is peace of mind worth to you?
He again refused & later was banned for scamming.

So for fututre big / somewhat sketchy trades just do it in a few pieces this way if it goes south you have minimized your losses and never be afraid to walk away from the table if you don't like the hand you're looking at.

Well, hate to see this happen. But i guess it is just at this point. I have private messages of this user insulting me over the issue. I have apologized and said i am including more free things in the trade to make up for the poor shipping. I feel bad the models broke and on numerous times apologized/offered to fix. And to my thoughts i am shipping him the last box with included goodies to make up for shipping damages due to my poor packing.

I did say that this user was acting like a child, because he insulted/cursed and chewed me out over the models and threatened me with local authorities before even attempting a solution.

Of course this is after i have had to pay shipping twice to make sure the models get to the user. For some reason he couldn't give me the right zip code.

I am sorry for the troubles and for a third time i am sending the last box out tomorrow to complete the trade.
