Subject: Does FnP negate the Black mace cursed rule

Well the question is in title.
Does a successful FnP roll stop the cursed rule being activated. As I understand it, FnP is not a save. So technically I have still caused an unsaved wound, it was just negated.
Confused help please?

FNP is not a save, however, if successful, the wound counts as being saved. Therefore, anything that goes off of an unsaved wound does not apply.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

That's not quite right. FNP allows the model to ignore unsaved wounds, like they never happened. Unsaved wounds so ignored by FNP still count as unsaved wounds for all other intents and purposes. The OP all but answered is own question, FNP is not a save, so any effect triggered by unsaved wounds is still triggered if you end up passing your FNP check.

The underlined is incorrect. FNP Treats the wound as saved. P.35

I believe the black mace causes a toughness test (don't have codex with me) if so it is not an unsaved wound its a failed characteristic test and wouldn't be effected by FNP.

FNP doesn't care how the wound was caused. It only cares whether or not the Wound would inflict ID (whether or not the model has EW).

I don't play a lot of FnP armies, so I'm always rusty on it. How does Feel No Pain work on lets say FnP marked chaos marines getting hit with a lascannon? Pages please.

No, othwewise i would have said so. It is back to 4th edition restrictions: the only time you dont get FNP is when the wound causes ID. Thats it.

If you multiple wound model takes and fails his save vs a black mace but then uses fnp to stop the wound, The black mace will not trigger. Unsaved wound only. Then you do a toughness test and if you fail your tough test you are removed from play. Then and only then can you test for anyone within 3 inches. They fail they go bye bye.

They are removed as casualties, so things like RP/ EL will still work (assuming the roll is is still allowed to be made).

And the Toughness test only triggers off of unsaved, non-FNP wounds.
