I started working on the fluff for the Omicron Beach invasion game that I'm working on a table and rules for.
http://en.sturmkrieg.com/Omicron_Beach

I'm thinking about two ideas for the table, with how it should be set up. The game will most likely be an all day game, but with more turns rather than greater size, and will probably be around 2750 points. For the effect of not knowing what to expect, I might make a divider to use during deployment and have each side deploy at the same time. The Tau would go first. For the small point value, there would be respawning, but possibly limited to pre bought numbers of units.

The first table idea is a 5 foot by 12 foot table with the beach running the length of the table. There would be 2-3 feet of beach with cliffs at the end with bunkers atop them and limited access off the beach, some only accessible to infantry. The rest would be trenches and inland areas, such as roads and hedgerows to obstruct movement. This table would focus on a number of defensible areas and objectives.

The other idea is for a 6 foot by 12 foot table with 3 feet of open water, 3 feet of beach, 2 feet of bunkers and trenches, and 4 feet of inland area. This table would focus on progression and advancement.

As a discussion grows in length, the probability of a comparison to Matt Ward or Gray Knights approaches one.
