I'm not good at knowing what are good specs and what works well, I've been trying to figure what components I should get to construct one. I have a 1100 budget and I'd love a bang for my buck. Something run Battlefield on ultra with good fps, or Wow with 60+ fps. I'm a big fan of gaming and I feel the need to make a desktop that is simple, yet on budget and will do its job well. Any advice or help would be great! Thank you guys!
Here is a list of some things I was considering:
Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 Keyboard
RAZER Naga 2012 Black 17 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser Expert MMO Gaming Mouse
Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000
ASUS Sabertooth X79 LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

Black Templars are the best Space Marine Chapter out of all the Space Marines. They are the most fanatical marines out there. They are on an endless, eternal crusade for the god emperor. AND they get in the face of the enemy. Thats the way to get things done.

You don't really need the best intel has to offer. 200-250 price range for cpu is all you need.
Also you don't need loads of memory 4gb should be enough for just gaming. Photo shopping takes more. And if you want more you can always buy more. Having 1 4gb stick from the start is good enough.
For gpu I can recommend gtx 680. That should run bf3 on ultra at 1920x1080.
Also you still need a psu and a case. Corsair (600-700w range is enough) is a good brand and I personally like coolermaster haf x.
I have the sidewinder (x8?) which has removable keypad I recommend that over the cheaper variants. I've always hated how kyepad is do far away from wasd but x8 removes that problem. You can also remove it completely to ake room for painting and modelling.
I also have the m$oft sidewinder mouse (the first one) and I love it because the thumb buttons are just awesome.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.
If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in. |

I like my Merc Stealth for gaming personally, the only downside being that my numpad is combined with my arrow keys and the six buttons that normally come above the arrow keys. That can be fixed by use of the Steel Series Fang, which is pretty much the sideboard of the Merc but seperable. Also the ZEngine is amazing, the only thing it doesn't do is auto switch layouts for games when you load them, but it's a pretty quick switch so that isn't too bad.
As for gaming mouse the Logitech G700 mouse is kind of amazing...
Corsair or Kingston RAM is also good, lifetime warranty and decently cheap for what you get.

My advice is to register for this forum and to post your question there instead. You will, as a rule, get better advice.
They are more likely to point out things such as, for example, why you don't want 2 sticks of ram in a quad-channel motherboard.
