G'day guys

In January i will be attending an event known as cheesefest!!! The players are invited to bring the hardest 2500pt lists that they can make from their army books to complete in an all out smash.

My chosen army is the mighty Ogre Kingdoms and I was wondering what sort of list the community of dakka woould recommend.

Should i go for the slaughtermaster death magic and greddy fist combo, gutstar, as many bulls as possible, as many mournfang as possible or is there some other type of list you guys think i should base it around.

A few example lists would be great if you have the time.

Im really interested on what the community of dakka can come up with as te hardest OK list.

I'd say something like this:

L4 maw- rmour of silvered steel, gw, dragon gem, hellheart- 395
Bruiser bsb, stadard of discipline, gw- 155

21 bulls, fists, fc- 702

4 units of 4 mournfang, standard, musicain. One takes dragon hide banner-1250

2502 points

All characters with bulls, deployed 4 wide so bsb in second rank,

A friend runs this, I used to b4 changing tact to 2 hordes and less mournfang.

Very few can successfully deal with both mass mournfang and the bullstar.

Only fateweaver luckily spamming purple sun has ever beaten it in a year

Would it be worth trying to fit a butcher in their swell to give a fe more options...possibly run a death sm or just guarantee you get the spells you need...

A cheesy ogre list without Ironblasters? At this point total you can run around 3 and if you do people will hate you.

That's actually a pretty terrible cheese list. Purple Sun, Pit of Shades, hell even dwellers will put a dent into your death star. Mournfangs get redirected to oblivion until a hydra or something charges them.


Lvl 4 with death and the hell heart, armor to taste. Gives him more utility and can snipe characters (fate, or caress, even get a lucky spirit leech roll)
Lvl 2 w. Maw and a scroll
BSB w. Rune Maw Banner and a Great Weapon

14ish Iron Guts FC, yes Bulls got better, but they'll still be striking last against most things and i'd rather have the can opening ability of the guts, too many 1+ armor save blocks out there.

2-4 Sabre Tusks! Redirect redirect redirect!

2 Iron Blasters

1 Unit of 4 Mournfangs, while they absolutely carve through anything and everything, i find one sufficient.

then i'd take a unit of Maneaters. Can have some super fun, and effective builds (scout and snipers each carrying a brace of hand guns)


You now have effective monster removers (iron blasters) a smaller footprint death star that can only be effected by purple sun, Pit of shades, dwellers (not a huge issue), final transmutation (again), but also makes you immune to spells that'll nickel and dime your death star.


More utility, bigger explosions, overall more effective.

Lead belcher and iron blaster spam as much as you can bulls, lvl4 and BSB for the rest of the points. I'd put a couple of sabertusks and maybe a small unit of trappers and call it good. Nobody spams like skaven though.

Leadbelchers are pretty aggresively --- meh. While they don't blow themselves up anymore they're hurt by range and ballistic skill.

So at the moment I'm thinking something along the lines of this:

Bear in mind the greedy fist changed with the latest faq, deathfisting is out now..

Oh, I thought it was still going...im pretty sire thats how are club is running it...ill have a bit more of a look at it!!!

I take a unit of 8, point it at a unit threat (granted you don't target stuff in hard cover that's skirmishing, etc.) but after firing, said target is no longer a threat. Rinse and repeat. If you had multiple8 man units of lead belches ( who fight pretty well too) it would be a hard army to fight
Especially backed up by bulls or iron gut ranks

You need a BSB. Drop the firebelly for the BSB. With the extra 151pts pick up belchers or maneaters. I'd drop the greedy fist.
