Hey all,

I'm still a little new to the game, and I am looking for some thoughts and advice on my list. One thing I do want to mention first is, I currently do not have any salamander models and really really need/want some. Until then, I have to do without.

Slann-Mage
x3 Disciplines
- Focus of Mystery and Rumination
- Soul of Stone
- Cupped Hands of the Old Ones

Saurus Scar Vet
- BSB
- Shield
- Shrieking Blade

20x Saurus Warriors
- Standard Bearer and Musician

20x Saurus Warriors
- Standard Bearer and Musician

25x Skinks
- 3x Kroxigors
- Standard Bearer

6x Chameleon Skink

6x Chameleon Skink

14x Temple Guard
- Full Command

Ancient Stegadon

This list is exactly 2000 points. I appreciate all help and advice and look forward to seeing what y'all have to say.

Thanks,

Sodono

Not sure how the Slann comes out to on your points cap for lords atm since I dont have my book on me but since you arent using a magical standard it may be better to have the Slann cheapo bsb it. Other than that the list is decent but you are missing the most important unit to any lizard man army. Salamanders, 2 units of 3 preffered, does unfathomable amounts of damage.

10k+ High Elf
6.5k Dwarf
7k Original Chaos Dwarf (not the crappy forge world)
6k Bretonnia
7k Wood Elf
6k Dark Elf
8k Tomb Kings
5k Beastmen
5k Lizardmen
7k Daemons of Chaos (roughly 2.5k all but Tzeentch, I find them useless in 8th other than flamers and heralds)
5.5k Empire

Soul of Stone? new one on me that. someone care to explain.

Anyhow, Slaan as BSB is highly recommended, also becalming cogitation as a discipline is awesome. virtually shuts down an enmey wizards magic on its own.

Kudos for using a Skrox unit!!!!!

if taking them i would combine the 2 x 20 into 1 40 horde.

this frees up some points for a few more temple guard for your slaan.

Again as people have already said, salamanders really are that good used properly. i would take them over the steg.

All anyone wants in the world is to be accepted. Except me, i don't give a S%@t.
