Not particularly interested in the actual Hobbit forces/models, but with the confirmation that the the the Hobbit SBG is the just a new edition of the LotR SBG and is compatible with the existing Forces books, I have decided to finally pull the trigger on starting an Angmar army.

While I play both 40K and WFB, I have never even seen a game of LotR played so don't really have a clue as to what I'm getting myself into. The impression I get though (and I really hope this bears out) is that in this system games are played at lower point and model counts than the other two.

I've just ordered the Forces book so won't see it for a week or so yet, so can someone please clue me in a little? What kind of model count am I looking at for a standard size (from what I've read ≈ 500pts?) SBG game?

Also, is there any reason the new hunter orcs and warg riders couldn't be substituted for the older orc models in an Angmar force?

Thanks

edit: Reading through some threads in this forum and have seen 250pt games mentioned as being fun. This sounds even better as I'm looking to the SBG for smaller, quicker games and armies than 40k/WFB.

edit: clarify subject
