I just started painting my legion of everblight army for hordes and finished the first three models recently. I posted the angelius here before but the photos sucked and the basing wasn't finished. This army is very close to the studio scheme and the first time I tried to adhere to a predetermined scheme. I hope some of the subtle shading and muted colors show through in the photos.

They are very cool. The purples and the blending is very well done. I sugest that you add some deeper shading to the mouth areas to give them more definition. Also you could make the teeth lighter to bring them out and make the Everblight critters look more bitey.

I'd say the colours are different enough from the studio scheme. Very nice colours, it looks real smooth and soft.
How did you do the red areas around the mouths of the beasts? I've just done skin on some of my own warbeasts but I haven't attempted a red wash to make the red areas, not sure on the technique to use. Yours has came out amazingly well.
Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I love the constructive comments I'm getting here.

I mixed a medium/dark red color (old GW red gore) with p3 carnal pink to paint the mouths and fleshy areas. It was a darker rosey pink. After that I simply went back carefully with my base skin color and painted some of the raised areas at the back of the mouths with special care taken to make the transitions smooth. That's it, it was literally only a two-step process. It was very easy. I also did a thin wash in the angelius' mouth with snguine base but it didn't show well at all so I skipped that step for the rest.
