Rather silly question but i figure i should ask it anyway.

The loadout in the back of the codex doesnt list options for the runtherder except replace Grabba Stick with a Grot Prod. However, the box gives you either a whip or a squig left-hand option.

Does he still have the benefit of the squig (despite how weird it is) if i dont use that arm? I think i'd rather keep it and convert it to an attack squig to mount on my warboss's bike.

The Squig Hound rule applies to the runtherder model, and isn't dependant on what gear and/or upgrades you give the runtherder.

It won't lose the rule if you remove the squig.
