Ok, so the subject is Necrons; more specifically, the range of new toys they got their hands on.
I love a good challenge and so far, Necrons appear to be giving the best challenge so far!
-Ghost Ark, with its amazing weapons and defence system, what is the best way to kill it?
-DoomScythe, possibly one of my favourite units in the game, because of it's 'draw a line' attack, have only seen it in one game and know little about it, but it destroyed a lot. What is the best way to kill it?

Well, I know there are more, but those two seem to be the greatest boon of the metal men.

I apologise if this has already been discussed, but I can't really see where it has been mentioned. Alternatively, if someone could send me a link to a relevant thread, that would be awesome.

Also, this is for all armies, so you don't ask!

The Ghost Ark doesn't really have amazing weapons, it has two gauss flayer arrays (which are effectively bolters that are slightly better against vehicles) plus whatever is inside, and it is an AV13 skimmer. It goes down to the same things that any other AV13 vehicle goes down to, either mass glances from S7 weapons, or dedicated AT weaponry.

The Doom Scythe is actually probably the less dangerous of the Scythe Variants right now. In most cases the contents of a Night Scythe can be far more dangerous than a short ranged line weapon (even if that line is S10). Your best bets for dealing with it are other fliers (particularly the Guard Vendetta), skyfire + interceptor weapons like the Quad Gun on an Aegis Defense Line, and a volume of mid strength shots (S6 - 8). Even if you are only hitting on a 6, Scythes still only have AV11 and 3HP, so putting a lot of bullets in the air will bring them down quickly. Twin Linked weapons are also your friends against fliers, the re-roll to hit almost doubles your chances of hitting them.

... wasn't this all covered in the Necron Tactica thread?
(I'm not even going to bother looking it up for the link, search for it yourself)

Thank you RegalPhantom.
