I've decided I need to start painting through my Warhammer Quest miniatures. The box has been sitting there for years with bland gray plastics staring at me demanding i paint them. So finally i've made a start.

I've started with the expansions first (the metal miniatures) to get the painting engines firing first.

Anyhow here are two that I've completed do far.

Very nice! They look great!

Good Gork, nice work on these. Are you using metallic paints at all, or are these all non-metallic paints? I have a feeling you haven't used any, just used well-placed and thought out lighting.

Did you sculpt the bases? Or are they from a third party and applied to the WQ bases?

Getting me inspired to work on my own WQ stuff, damn you!

Absolutely gorgeous, love the bases as well. Those cloak details are excellent!

Thanks everyone. I'm still learning how to do non-metal metal so all these miniatures are done without metal paints. Still trying to nail down the gold (which brown to use, currently using bestial brown).

The bases i bought on ebay as i intend to put them on all the miniatures in the box set, so i need something pre fabricated to save some time.

here is the link to the bases:
