Hi everybody,
there have been many times when I've been looking for hobby inspiration or hints and tips, the road to them more often than not usually leading me to here on Dakka.

So I decided that I may as well sign up, that way at least I can follow interesting topics and comment from time to time.

I live in Shipley, a small town near to both Leeds and Bradford in the UK.
I first got into the miniatures/wargaming hobby in around 1989 with the release of Heroquest and have pretty much had an on/off relationship with it ever since, playing most Games Workshop games over many editions.
Right now I'm mainly modelling and painting to relax around a very busy home-life caring for my partner, mother and 4 children.

Well... That's pretty much it really... not very exciting, but it's what I've got... Now I'm just looking forward to reading some inspiring topics on the forum.

Take care.

Hi geordie09,
unfortunately I've got too many commitments at home to get out and about that often at the moment....

Also, I need to start building my armies back after stripping some and trading others.

But thank you for the invitation nevertheless.

And thank you to everyone else for the welcome messages.

Welcome, that was a good intro. I particularly liked the geography info, always interesting to see how and where the hobby has spread.

May the dice be with you!
