I have recently modeled a mounted IG CCS for my army.

I was wondering how I should price them and If I should modify their stat line at all.

I was thinking of allowing them to move 9 or even twelve inches but at a higher base cost say 30-40 pts

or should I just proxy them for regular CCS

('');

Mounted? As in, on horses?

If you want to use special rules for them, why not just make them cavalry and cost them a bit higher (right now a base CCS costs 50 points). Not having used Cavalry before, I couldn't tell you how useful that is, so Im not gonna try to price them.

Unfortunately they're terrible. No special weapons, no CCS orders (only the useless PCS ones), extremely high point cost. It might be fluffy, but you'd never use one in a real game.

The solution to the problem is to just have rough rider mounts be an upgrade to a normal CCS. For +X points you change the unit type to cavalry, for +Y points per model you can take hunting lances as well.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
