Okay, so after solving my last problem by testing myself I've figured out you can water down the drybrush colours...so now I have another question.

How does one paint a blue patina onto metallics? I have blue, green and white, so I can can create any number of light blues/turquoises, I just need to know which is best, and how to apply it.

Thanks in advance...again,

I used a cheap 'patina' colored craft paint when I painted up my still. I used a combination of washes/glazes along with some stipling it on.

In the end I took a risk and tried a random technique. I made a patine colour, watered it down a LOT, then coated the metals in it. I then drybrushed them all with gold when it dried. Turned out pretty well and I'll post a pic or two when I can.

Thanks for the tip though, I'll have to look for a similar coloured paint for next time so I don't have to mix some up and waste as much as I did this time XD
