Good afternoon chaps.

My names Dash. I have been using this site on and off as a bit of a lurker for the past couple of weeks so i thought it would be polite to sign up and say hello.

First things first, I'm no stranger to wargaming and back in my late teens spent 3 years working for Games workshop. I had the full benefit of weight order and must of spent thousands (if paying full price) over the few years I worked there. Thankfully I didnt!

Anyway, now at the ripe old age of 26) , the reason I'm back on a forum perving at wargaming mini's is that i bumped into a few mates a while back who I hadnt seen in a while who asked if i would be interested in a few games every now and then

So a week after bumping into him I have written an army list spent about £100 on models from various websites (not using GW stuff because of price) and ive finished building a board.

Just need to build some scenery (a quick trip to hobby craft and brushing up on old skills has helped) and we will be playing our first games of 40K on a brand new board, hopefully with some pretty bangin' scenery.

A quick Photo of the WIP of the gaming board. You can still see bits of glue drying but you get the idea. the plan eventually is to rock a kind of Aliens vs. Predator planet scape. Might even have a few cheeky weyland-yutani decals on the buildings hehe

EDIT: I DONT SEEM TO BE ABLE TO LINK THE PICTURE IN MY FLICKR ACCOUNT? ANY REASON? DO I NEED A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF POSTS?

so a few more modelling bits on order from various traders etc so hopefully will have a full thread sooner rather than later sharing the knowledge

Peace and love

Dash

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
