So I have a bit of a question, and I am not sure there is another thread on it.

So I do not have as much money now to really get a new codex/Army book/ ect. and that every time something updates or get some more models for an army until I can get a hold of a stable job of sorts. So I come with this question I hope I can get answered:

Is it like a big no-no of sorts of I get a PDF of a particular army I am paying until I have the money to get a physical copy of it (I rather have that than a PDF I have to print) or is this based on the gaming meta's feelings on it and they are cool with that until then?

And no, I am not so much as stupid to pull this idea in a GW store. And this kind of encompasses any game that has an separate army book so I being as general as I can.

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?
yakface's 40K rule #2: Friends don't let friends start a MEQ army.
yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!

yes, yes it is.

We do not advocate piracy on Dakka. Our site and our hobby cannot exist without paying customers.

Many shops have a store copy of common rulebooks, they can also be bought second hand or borrowed.
