Well I wanted my younger cousin to get involved with the wonderous world of warmachine and hordes and let him field my army of Searforge. It was just a standard line up and kill 25 pt match.

Roll off: Trolls win and elect to go first.

Deployment:
Warbeasts and Grim unit deploy to left side of the field with the Fenblades deployed to the right.

Gorten deploys in a central formation behind his forge guard with Gunners deployed on the right and his heavies matching my own.

The only terrain was a forest to the right side of the table.

Turn 1: Trolls
Trolls gun it out of the gate, I play the trolls like they use focus to not confuse my opponent. Fenblades run, Mauler runs, bomber waddles out and throws two bombs with no hits. Grim casts mirage and Fenblades advance another 2 inches.

Turn 1: Mercs
Dwarvish advance, Gunners shoot at my Fens and fail to kill anyone, Piper of Ord casts tough and fearless. Gorten casts solid ground and strength of granite on the driller.

Turn 2: Trolls
Trolls charge and engage. Bomber throws two bombs again and only achieves to annoy the forgeguard. Mauler sets up for next turn charge. Fens make the charge with No quarter given and easily connect. Resulting charge only gained me 3 kills on the forgeguard with 4 tough saves achieved. *facepalm*. Grim looks pretty and shoots the Piper of Ord down like the dog he is.

Turn 2: Mercs
Gorten throws down the focus and shoots into melee, he kills one of his own guys instead. Basher grand slams into my mauler and only manages a 4 inch push. Gunners run away from the fens and escape with no damage and shoot into melee. They decide the forgeguard are better targets and gun down two of them. Fenblades are generally whiped off the board with only 3 left from the forgeguard based fury.

Turn 3: Trolls
Hunters Grim shares his "focus". Bomber throws two bombs, boosted damage onto Gorten. He takes a royal beating and goes to half health. Mauler decides the basher is an utter annoyance and smacks him twice with fists and then proceeds to throw him into the next county which is ironically Gortens face. He is knocked down now with Sylys being squished and poor Reindholt being squished as well. Fenblades survive their fear roll for losses and charge into battle again. They pick off two more Forgeguard and leave my lanes open for Grim to reposition himself to saftey with Muggs shares a GIANT bear trap with the map.

Turn 3: Mercs
Gorten gets back up and slings a few gunshots and gives Grim a nasty cut at 3 points of damage to the face and calls feat. Basher attempts a charge but fails to reach my Mauler. Gunners clear my Fenblades and the Forgeguard charge right into my bomber, they decide the bear trap is worth the gamble and a squad of 4 become 2 but in reply the Forgeguard cut my bomber down to size by half his health. Driller waddles to war.

Turn 4: Trolls
Grim shares his focus again and with the mauler, Bomber throws a bomb and it goes wide with no damage given out. Mauler pulps the Basher before smash and grab and trigger. Bomber pulps both guard left. Grim takes aim and blasts Gorten into the next dimension with a fully boosted shot.
