So im wanting to get some river terrain but cant decide between these two;

TerranScapes ( http://www.terranscapes.com/products/water.php ) Unfinished River set
This one is cheaper but unpainted but no effects or details.

or

FlexTerrain ( http://www.wargamersterrain.com/products.htm ) FlexRivers Deluxe 3 inch
This one is about twice the cost but has neat effects and is painted and neat details. BUT looks like it would take a lot of care to have it last awhile.

Im hopeing someone has one of these and can give me advice or maybe some other river set that is better than these two.

Never stopping never slowing ever moving with a steady unyielding force that crushes everything, from bugs to birds to buildings to mountains to planets.... It moves forward with a unrelenting ruthlessness that never tires.

The second one is only more expensive if you're springing for the deluxe ones, but the standard ones look fine to me. As for my own experience, I'm not sure if it's the same brand but I have used a flexible river terrain set at a local shop and it's excellent. The fact that you can overlap sections (to get configurations different than the default connections) and they'll flex to lie flat is very handy considering how finicky minis can be to balance.

hah go big or go home right? hah but nah the deluxe just looks visually appealing vs the standard. and the First one i can buy painted but the cost goes to some 400-500$ and thats just a little too much for me.

and the flexible part is why i like the second one, but how flexible and am i to expect after a year the flex just wears out?

I've got two of these sets:

Considering it is 40" of prepainted river, you can't beat the price. It is admittedly not as nice as the sets you posted but I've found it more than adequate and I got my sets on Amazon for less than $20 each. They also look great with the Technobridge by the same company - the bridge has just enough clearance for the river and is wide enough for 40k tanks and what not. http://pegasushobbies.net/catalog/p144/%234921-Technobridge/product_info.html

With most terrain I prefer building my own. For that reason if I'd buy the TerranScapes set if I had to. Means you can paint it to fit in with your table and it's easier to fit custom embellishments. Evey river needs floating barrels, bodies and a shopping trolley or two.

More than 7pts, less than 7000...just

I use these rivers, though have no idea if they're available in the US.

The Pegasus Technobridge is awesome for 40k, one of the best-looking bits of scenery out there!

I was considering that one for a bit for e price, but with only a few bends and mostly all straight pieces I was worried I couldn't make it look like a real river, it would look too fake being so straight.

The rivers I like are from Wizard Kraft. [http://wizardkraft.net/Terrain/]. They look good and last. Lots of variable shapes and sizes but consistent configuration. They even have beach section with river outlets.
