Now, I never usually post here, and this may be my only thread starter on here, so I am going to make it as short and clear as I can.

So I have been checking out the DCM status thing, and I think it is a wonderful idea (and a rather fair one for its price of 25 USD, about maybe 2.06 USD a month. My math could be off so do not be too harsh ) and am considering of buying it in the next few paychecks after I get some more Minis. But the thing that got me is that there is no trial of it to see if it is something I want to invest in every year or so, or if anyone would like to do that.

Now, I am not saying make it free, at least I think charge one or two dollars for the trial if it was implemented, but kind of like do it so the user can get a one week trial with it, and after the trail, they would have their IPs locked from the trial for X amount of time (Maybe 6 months to a year so no one can abuse it, or make it a one time thing overall). This is kind of the basic idea of it, since I do not know how that would work with the coding and that.


Unless there is something like this already, then you can lock this thread for posting some silly nonsense.

Being a DCM is more about supporting the site than just being a DCM. I mean, everyone has their own reasons for it. Personally, I like to support this site.

Oh I know that. I wish to help the site (as I said, I plan to become one in the near future in the next few paychecks or so) but I was kind of throwing it out there as an idea to show people who are interested in it, but are not really sure if they want to get it one hundred percent. And I know running website like this takes a good amount of time and money, so that is why I kind of suggested to have people pay a fee of sorts for the trial, so if they are not really interested in the DMC after the trail, the website can still get some money of sorts to support it.

Also, I thought you get some other things with it as well? :/

As again, not trying to seem like to turn away people from DCM if it comes off like that, I am just trying to think in terms of the smart buyer, you know what I am saying?

That makes sense. But this isn't like buying an upgrade for an account. This is donating to the site and you happen to get stuff in return.

Hmm.... You do have a point on that, plus I think now looking on it in retrospect, that would seem much more easier to maintain and fair enough for someone is tight on money (although I think the DCM service seems a bit fair price as well, but everyone can have a different view on it).
