This list is for a friendly tournament coming up. I am relatively new to 40k so I would like as much criticism as possible to fine tune this list. I am running a double force org chart,

The Juggerlord is my warlord, He will with the Chaos Spawn to soak up hits and get into combat turn 2. The sorcerer is of Tzeentch at the moment but I am not sure which discipline I should be taking. Slanesh lord is to unlock another shooty scoring unit. I tried to keep him cheap and still be useful.
I will most likely have the havocs champion manning the quad gun. The rhino with the havoc launcher may be hanging back as well behind the aegis line and lobbing the havoc launcher. Not sure where to place my sorcerer either. Any feedback is appreciated. Feel free to take liberties to make this better. Thanks in advance.

I'm running something very similar to this list. Actually almost dead on to this list. But I have vindicators and I'm looking at a warpsmith. I like the look of it you have a great mix of in your face and heavy shooting. You might want to sink more points into that noise marine unit I know the sorc CAN add to their damage but you can get a couple more guys which could make all the deal =)

you should also drop the points off everything pretty sure dakka doesn't like that

1: Khornelord is solid, I would lose the plasma pistol tho as he'll need to run to close with the enemy.

2: slaanesh lord. Do you mean Lightning claws as in he's got two of them? Because he can only swap bp and ccw for 1 other weapon each, meaning you've traded 2 weapons for 3.

3: Lose MoT on sorceror, as the Tzeentch powers are lacklustre. Keep him markless and run all Telepathy. Invisibility rocks

4: Large csm squad. Drop down to 10 guys, lose the melta bombs and lc on champ and give them IoV. I run 3 of these squads with MoN and they really work.

5: Small csm squad. Too many upgrades on Rhino, give it dozerblade and perhaps a combimelta, then switch the squads plasma for a melta and buy the champ a combi melta as well. Then send them off to hunt Land Raiders.

6: Pick a role for your Noise marines. Either ranged dakka with Sonic blasters and Blast masters, or dedicated assault with tooled up champ, IoE and extra ccw. In case of the latter, give them a Rhino.

7: Find points to get VotLW for your Oblits. They need the ld boost.

8: The rest looks solid, happy gaming

@Gharron: I think its ok with the points as long as its the sum total of the unit, and not individual costs of each piece of wargear.

At 2k points ESPECIALLY in a tourney, you should be running 2-3 Heldrakes.

Let me know how the list works with vindicators! I would love to find room for 2 of them in this list but I lack the proper models right now! Also ill take off the point costs. New here sorry!

Thank you for the quick reply! I am going to take another look into the list with this advice and see how many more points i can squeeze out of it. Also the sorc was marked with Tzeentch in hopes of getting doombolt as i felt my anti armor options were just a little lacking. I will take a look at telepathy.

This is a friendly tournament so I dont want to spam Heldrakes (plus I dont really have the money to buy another one right now haha)


Ill post an updated list when I can get a chance to sit down and sort it all out.

Tbh I'm new to CSM as well so my advice is not large. But I like the list, balanced and fair. You may want to find a CC unit for your Slaanesh lord to join because he has no gun and the rest of your list is shooty. Also I totally agree on not spamming drakes one thing that peeves me is when people spam units (as a cron player the amount of wraith and AB and NS spam is craaaazy man!).

The Slanesh lord has the Burning Brand of Skrilex to help with the Dubstep Marines haha. but maybe the murder sword is an option to scare away enemy HQ. I wanted to keep this lord as cheap as possible but thanks for the advice!

Oh yeah didn't see that, but its so short ranged a unit like Noise Marines isn't the best place for it, CSM with CCW would probably be enough because that way you hav 3 powerful units; Khorne Lord+Spawn, NM, and Slaanesh Lord and CSM. Plus that small CSM unit has a Rhino so they can get around as well, 2 quick units and a shooty one added to Oblits (who NEED VotLW, Ld8 is naff) and a Drake. Idk if Baleflamer is the better choice I haven't run it but atm only the quad gun can do anything to flyers and the Hades autocannon is stronger.
