So I have a Landspeeder to make, and I loathe the flyer stands they come with. I've found these, but I'm unsure as to what size is appropriate for a Landspeeder.- http://www.back2base-ix.com/index.php?_a=viewCat&catId=54

Is a singular 3mm magnet enough to hold it up securely, or would I need the large.

Also, if there are any other ideas for cheaper ways to make magnetic bases for a speeder, I would really, really appreciate it, seeing as my current project is already over budget, and $15 for bases is pretty steep. Anything but the Magz toys, that is.

Thanks in advance.

While I'm not all that familiar with Land Speeders I use the 60mm Large stands to hold Wave Serpents and Night Spinners without issue. I'd probably go for the 60mm Large as they most closely resemble the default vehicle flight stand and the two magnets prevent it spinning in place. If the Landspeeder is especially front heavy, as I imagine it is, the two magnets are probably a better idea.

3mm magnets are plenty strong enough for landspeeders (plastic).

I'd use 5mm or larger for the older metal ones, though.

For aircraft flying stands I'd go with the secret weapon ones. Widget and acrylic rod (5" long, 1/2" diameter).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
