ladies and gentlemen, possibly the coolest thing to happen to the tau in a while is commander brightsword. I started playing tau only recently, and just recently saw Pacific Rim. *slight spoiler alert* One of the Jaegers has badass swords inside its arms, something i always thought would work well in a Tau battlesuit, were it not for the gakky WS. however brightsword is the answer to my geeky prayers, and i really feel i need to do his model justice (I doubt GW will make models for any of Farsight's Eight, so it's up to us!) that being said, i wondered if anyone had any ideas for such a badass-sounding weapon as a FUSION BLADE. I was thinking some of my leftover Necron Triarch Praetorian voidblades, because they're roughly the right size as a XV-8's arms, or perhaps lychguard warscythe blades glued on either side. I wanted to go for a more "contained inside the battlesuit" look as opposed to "tacked onto the outside" look, or even the nemesis dreadknight's gripping of it's sword. So to that end, I ask if anyone has any good ideas. Thanks to anyone who responds, everyone's opinion is welcome

I recently got into tau to and had this idea to and one thing ive always loved is the look of optimus primes energy axe from the old transformers cartoon and i think that would be a cool idea for an energyweapon

Well, the Fusion Blades aren't actually a blade =P it's just a modified Fusion Blaster that's set to a continuous "blade" or "flame" that may resemble a sword. Kind of like the Zealot's blades in Starcraft. I think something that's not metallic and very energy looking would be best!
