Hello all,

I've stumbled across the Warhammer hobby just before Easter this year while looking for a model to use as a marker for my character in pen and paper RPG game sessions. After some research I was hooked, bought a used army of eBay and got busy with a 40k Chaos army bit time. I've also branched out into customizing, airbrushing and magnetising. Still a lot to learn, but I'm having a blast. =]

After four months in the hobby, my Chaos Space Marine army looks respectable in size, but still has a way to go where paintjob and basing are considered. I'm having too much fun in the construction, customisation and playing the game, which distracts me from finishing previously assembled stuff. ;-]

Anyways, while I've done a lot of internet research and hit on content on Dakka Dakka several times, I now decided to register here and get involved. My Introduction post isn't my first post here, since I didn't have a current army snapshot ready and wanted to include that. Mostly for myself, I've put a bunch of pictures, video and text up on blogspot to document my first steps into the hobby. There are pictures there for the conversions I did, just in case someone wants to have a closer look.

I bought the kit with a few bits for the weapon missing from a member of the local warhammer club for 100 Euro (approx $132 US).
The Forgeworld retail price is £136 (approx 157 Euro, $208 US), without the nasty shipping charges, which apply unless you order for more than £250.

I'm really very happy that I did buy that kit, because it got me some Forgeworld Resin experience without the price of a Titan hanging in the balance. ;-]
