I had a root around in my bag of micromachines this week, and measured some of the likely figures for use with X Wing Miniatures. It seems that (according to Wookieepedia) the X Wing, Y Wing, and TIE/In will work, and the other stuff will not.

Measurements and detailed results here.

As an aside, for its size, the Skipray seems pretty underwhelming, with basically the load out of a B wing plus a puny turret.

I have a ton of these miniatures from when I was younger. I ran a WEG D6 Star Wars RPG and used these as miniatures to represent space combat.

I think I have 4 X-wings, 2 TIE Fighters, 2 A-wings, 2 Y-wings, 2 B-wings, 1 TIE Bomber, 2 TIE Advanced, 2 TIE Interceptors, 2 Z-95 Headhunters and a host of the 'larger' ships that wouldn't scale well at all.

From experience, the X-win, Y-wing and TIE are the only ones that work from that set.
The falcon from that set is TINY (but not as bad as the star destroyer) and unusable, as is the Slave 1 ship.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

The MM Tie Fighters have pretty much the same sized cockpit, but the span of the "wings" is smaller and the panels are also undersized.
