At the beginning of the game, say I have more than one psyker generating rule book powers.
Can I roll for all models simultaneously? Or do I have to pick a model to start rolling for, finish him, then move on to the next one?
If I cannot do the former, why not?

I think it kind of has to work in a linear fashion. Although I, too, am confused as to why you would want to do them one at a time. Now, if all your psykers are on the same table, and you just want to designate certain die colors for certain psykers so you can ROLL them all at once and save yourself a little time, then I guess you could do that.

I see no practical reason why you couldn't roll all at once, to speed things up. However that essentially means locking your choices into what disciplines to roll on, so I can only see this being used where the table to roll on is a foregone conclusion (like Divination, or Biomancy for Nids).

I think he's thinking about the swapping-out for the primaris power, and how some powers which you would normally swap become useful if you know another psyker had a certain power. so instead of rolling for one, swapping and then finding the next one had a power which would compliment the one you swapped, he's asking if the 2 could roll seperately but symultaneously, allowing him to decide whether he wants to swap out after he's found out all his powers.
the guys i play against roll them all, then decide which they want to swap. i have no problem with this, there's nothing in the rules suggesting you must follow a strict regiment. you could roll 9 powers on 3 psykers in an alternating fashion if you really wanted to bore the opponent to death.

You don't roll for all of them then swap - you roll, swap, roll.
Also,
If your army includes more than one Psyker, you can choose the order in which you generate their powers.
Meaning you do one Psyker, then the next.

This.
Choose one psyker. Roll one dice. Choose immediately to swap for primaris or roll again.
This is inherently less beneficial than rolling all dice together and choosing which to swap once you can see every power. RAW forces harder choices as your first roll may be decent and risking the primaris swap at that point can leave you with a worse power on your next roll.
HIWPI - let my opponent roll first and use the same method as them. If they don't have psykers I always play RAW at its also the least beneficial.

Pick one psycher, pick what discipline you're rolling on them roll one die. Repeat for each power and psycher. It gets really fun when you have 5 lvl 3 psychers lol

Try 9 level 1 Psykers and 2 level 3 Psykers. I love my Seer Council...

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Or a PML4, five PML3, and a PML1, with the option to spawn more PML1. And the PML3 psykers all have rewards, which means 8 more rolls! For a total of 28 random rolls before each and every game, on 7 different random tables.... *sigh* At timed-round tournaments, it's really nerve-wracking.
