Subject: Bases for Tzeentch Daemons

So, I'm looking for ideas to base any Tzeentch daemons that I add to my Daemonic horde. So far all my Nurgle daemons are based to look like they are wading through sewage and other effluent (w/ dirty green rims), while my Khorne daemons stand on red earth with puddles of blood and stringy gore (deep red rims). Since I never fight on battlefields that match my bases I figure that they don't need to match lol, and you could rationalize it as the daemons are warping the reality around them to reflect the realm of their patrons.
So, for my Tzeentch daemons, what's a good base? I've been considering flames of various colors, but that seems like it could be quite time consuming, and it would draw attention away from the model. Another thought I had was painting the plain plastic to look like different colored crystal floors (like Tzeentch's labyrinth). Anything else you guys think would look cool? Rims will most likely be painted blue. Depending on what you guys suggest ill choose an appropriate shade of blue.
Edit. Fixed some atrocious grammar. Probably more still here, but hey, I'm tired

Any of these interest you?

I've had a really good experience with Secret Weapon Miniatures. The bases come unpainted, so you can paint them however you wish.

Honestly I was looking for things I could do to the GW supplied bases. I still have tuition to pay, I can't justify spending a lot on bases when I have some already
Plus my Fateweaver counts as has already been epoxied to his base...

Wonderful model man. Looks great.
Hmm, well I was unable to find a picture of Tzeentch daemon prince standing on daemon fire, but this may be suitable for like a "labyrinthy" type base.
This could be accomplished with the use of Games Workshop texture paint to add texture to the base. In addition it looks like he splashed rocks on the base as well, with what appears to be a custom made daemon symbol. As far as painting something like this, it looks like he used a dark base color, possibly even a black. Then he went over it with 1-2 different colors of grey drushbrush.
I personally think that model would look amazing with some form of daemonfire that matches your color scheme rising from the bases, but I feel it would be difficult to accomplish without some form of premade flame bits you could use to put on the base & paint etc.

I think we have a winner. That looks fantastic.

Sorry, it was a terrible pic. This one is a little better but still with a phone unfortunately, wife takes camera with her for some reason!
Stupidly cheap to do this sort of base: Paint Base in a lighter colour than you want, PVA all over with a little water added for flow, drip super glue where you want bubbles, let dry. Paint in chosen colour and wash with a darker shade. Finish with a varnish.
You can put all sorts into the glue as it dries, bits of body, slate, stones, tombs, etc

I used Wood Elf Dryad bits - namely the arms cut at the elbow/wrist then glued to look like hands/whatever coming up out of the ground & the spiky bitz from the Spawn kits for my Tzeentch bases
My aim was to make it look like the Daemons were mutating the land about them. Add some green stuff around the bitz where they were glued to the base and tease it/swirl it to make it look like raw magical energy is feeding this unnatural growth.

Do you use the gel super glue or the normal thin glue? Also, do you mind if I steal your method? (Because I'm going to )
