Hey all,

I read some where (probably these forums) that somehow the Grey Knights are linked to the Harlequins via the Black Library...

I did some research on Lexicanum etc, and I found that the only humans who have access to the Black Library are the Illuminators or something.

Illuminators are people who have been possessed by a Daemon, and I think some of the Grey Knights induction trials involve something like this, however the Inquisition find the Illuminators to be heretics so I can't see how the Grey Knights would have access to the Black Library.

Members of the Illuminati have not just been possessed by a Daemon - they survived and cast it out. As such they are completely immune to Chaos which is why they are allowed into the Black Library. There are two noted instances of an Inquisitor getting in. One (Jaq Draco) snuck in. The other (Czevak) had to prove himself.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

They don't. The only non-Illuminati human to gain access to the Black Library was Corteaz IIRC. Also, the only chapter that uses self-exorsism are the Exorsists, not the Grey Knights. Hypothetically, the Grey Knights should be allowed access (by being prolific and completely incorruptable daemonhunters), but they aren't.

Yes I did read that part of the fluff

It does say that the Inquisition (Ordo Malleus) find the Illuminati to be heretics so it would be highly unlikely the Inquisition would gain access.

Also the Illuminati have agents working within the Inquisition so that stirs things up as well.

The Grey Knights probably could gain access, it would be easy for them to prove them selves. Just highly unlikely.

The Exorcists are said to be a Grey Knights successor chapter and "have a somewhat worrying creation as they were test subjects for a new form of Daemonhunters." However they don't count as Illuminatti since their daemons are cast out by a Daemon Hunter (probably an Inquisitor, which makes things interesting in itself.) Where as genuine Illuminatti cast out the daemon through sheer force of will.

Also according to one piece of fluff, one of the captain of the Blood Ravens got short access to the Library.
