Hi all,

As a few people know (or could choose to read from the link in my signature) I am undertaking to construct armies form each of the available Codices and Army books. I believe I am traveling quite well with one army under my belt and well on the way to completing a second. But the imminent arrival of the new shiny Space Marines Codex has me at a fork in the road. It is still conjecture at this stage but from what I have read it looks like the Black Templar's are going to be rolled into the main Codex instead of being a stand alone book.

Now I haven't even to begun considering assembling the planned Black Templar army, but what I am putting out as a question to Dakka Dakka is:

Should I remove them from my plans now, or keep the list and fluff around for old times sake and if a supplement arrives dust the idea off and go at them again? I am about halfway through an Iron Hands army which will be the representative of the Space Marine Codex and am not sure I feel like doubling up from one book. (As a side note, I have yet to decide if I should include the Supplements in my army building plans as yet, I may if I can come up with truly divergent armies between the supplement and parent codex).

Any thoughts are welcome.

I say build the black templars seeing as how all of the chapters in the SM book are supposed to be VERY different in terms of gameplay so I would almost treat the seperate chapters like different codices since they practically all are mini supplements

Hadn't thought of that, would mean if I am actually successful I would end up with about 10 Space Marine armies..... wonder if I would need to do that with the Chaos Space Marines as well for a sense of equality?

Well the CSM book really doesn't have distinguished differences between each traitor legion besides list building whereas the C:SM book has bonuses and drawbacks to playing certain chapters (ie salamanders get awsome flamers and meltas)
