The battalion(24 GG, 12 Dyrads, 8 glade riders/try convert inot the other cavalry)
A spellsinger/weaver
Treekinx3
a box of 16 GG

To start off, wood elves are an old book. This means they have limited options of stuff that works in the current edition. The best build is the avoidy shooty list.
I'd advise using treekin as unit filler, because they're a terrible unit. They are hugh strength, but are only WS4. This means they can easily spoon their attacks.
A unit of 20 glade guard with the flaming banner is a must. As
Is a pair of eagles.

The glade riders are good to counter shaff like the eagle, + they can give out some little shooting not to mention they are fast cav and can vanguard + march without penalty for shooting

I would suggest Beast magic personally for that army list. Life Magic is there to buff up a unit that you want to be survivable with Flesh to stone and Regrowth, but the only unit that would be helped by that in that list are the dryads. But beasts grants you more variety such as the Curse to control movement and Amber Spear to handle the chariots which are army simply can't. The base spell is very useful on dryads, turning each one into a mini-treekin with strength and toughness 5. very few things survive a combat with that. Then swap out one unit of glade guard and the glade riders for your unit of 3 treekin with Elder. So a list using the models he has to hand only and to be effective would be in my opinion.
Spellweaver, lore of beasts level 4. 250pts
Brachwraith with cluster of radiance 90pts
15 glade guard with musician 186pts
10 glade guard with musician 126pts
11 Dryads 132pts
3 treekin with Elder 215pts
999pts
This list resolves around the dryads and treekin kicking LOTS of butt while being survivable thanks to Wildform. Shooting handles chaff units that try to redirect you as well as hammering bug units then you are done. At this point level its always good to go for the shock factor, because if you put a lot of points into an extreme (In this case magic and hammer units) then most armies wont be able to counter you and still be a balanced list. Many people, if they take magic at all, will take a level 2 with a dispel scroll. You can over come this with your obvious magic superiority and get off the spells you want such as Wildform on which ever tree spirits you think will get shot at most or Curse on his biggest unit to slow it down or debuff it in CC. You might be wondering why I added in the Branchwraith. I included her because if you get savage beast of horrors, this turns her into an ABSOLUTE MONSTER. 6 attacks at WS 6 and strength 7 will chop down an entire row before anyone can even strike. And if you don't get it, she grants a welcome extra dispel dice. I think I have everything covered, what do you think?
