Hi all,

I'm new to the hobby and just started painting. I noticed after some use that my ushabti bone had some black oil in it. I thought I was being careful, but I think this may be black paint on primer floating in it. I don't remember what the ushabti looked like originally - does it normally look like that? If it is indeed black primer floating in it, should that be drained or replaced or is it okay to still use? I don't recall using the primer with that brush directly before using ushabti, and I did clean it constantly.

My other paints don't have anything like that going on.

If you let ushtabi bone sit for a few days it will separate like that. Give it a good shake and it'll be back to normal.

It's nuln oil they put in the colour to make it darker. Shake it to get rid of it.

Putting a small glass or stainless steel ball bearing into the paint pot will help the pigments mix faster when shaking.
