So really new at this, and after watching the tutorial vids on the infinity site I came up with this

Aquila Guard - Ltn
Orc - HMG
Orc - HMG
Hexa - sniper
Knight of holy sepulchre - combi
kamau - hacker
nisse - combi
fusilier - combi

300/300

I have half a mind to kill you, and the other half agrees

The list is 301pts, 8 SWC.

SWC is Special Weapons Cost, which is an additional point type to keep track of. Basically for every 100pts, you get 2 SWC. So at 300pts, you get 6 SWC, and is used for anything 'special'. Tough Lt's, special weapons, special skills, etc. You are 2 SWC over. You are also 1pt over.

Something to remember is this is not like 40k where 1pt over bought you a frag grenade on a random Guardsman. 1pt in Infinity can mean the difference between, say, an Odalisque with a Shotgun or an SMG and Contender. With the lethality of the game and small model count, exceeding the points cost isn't even frowned on in Infinity, it's just not done. 2 SWC is a lot as well. That's basically bought you two extra HMGs.

Not trying to put you off, just letting you know exceeding points costs isn't something people 'let slide' in this game, because just 1 point can mean a world of difference.

Aha! I had the Aquila Guard incorrectly selected as a HMG. So yeah, 300/6.

My only real concern would be 8 orders at 300pts. The best to aim for is 10 orders at 300pts unless you're running something super expensive like a TAG. I'd drop an Orc and fit in some more Fusiliers.

That would be my advice too!

Just keep the 'generic' ORC (w/ Multi Rifle) so you can play the 'guess the Lt. game a bit better.

The extra Fusiliers will help with that too!

My personal suggestion would be to swap one HMG ORC out for a basic profile (make him the lieutenant), and give the HMG to the Aquila. In Infinity, you don't tend to make your most bad-arse unit you lieutenant in most lists. The Aquila is the list's focal-bad-arse. If you pop the HMG on to it and "downgrade" the ORC to a lieutenant profile, then you have seriously upgunned the biggest threat in the list. And despite the fact that an HMG on an Aquila is quite a bit better than one on an ORC, the cost to upgrade is the exact same for both (1 point).

This leaves your badest dude free to pump orders in to without having to worry that a couple random crits against him will leave you in Loss of Lieutenant (which sucks). All you lose out on is a point of WIP for the initiative roll, which is not a huge deal compared to having an HMG attached to an MSV3 with BS15. That is better firepower than some faction's TAGs have access to.

That's OK, but it is a ways from your initial list, especially if your initial list was made up of some (or all?) miniatures that you liked in terms of looks or gameplay?
