Do people still avoid them like the plague? (I wouldn't personally if one of Nurgle existed)
I haven't seen one talked about, nor used in any BRs....
Are the rules still broken for them basically being useless? (Last I heard they couldn't use their flamer weapons when they moved?) (IIRC)
I would love to field one or two, but I'd like to hear some tales of others' use of them (If any) before I drop 50-100 bucks on some.

I haven't fielded any yet myself, but the way I see it the Khorne ones are the ones most worth using. I can see the Skull Cannon helping against Pathfinders camping in terrain or anything camping in terrain that you plan to charge. And the Blood Throne is nice if for some reason you want to bring a giant column of Bloodletters. Problem is, who runs Bloodletters? --On the other hand, running the Blood Throne with a massive column of Khorne Hounds...

See I LOVE the skull cannon... It's just absolutely amazing at weeding out those pesky cover hiding low T value models ( CSM Cultists behind a Dline? - Time to die!)
But honestly I just cannot seem to find a reason to bring the things like Exalted Seeker Chariots... I WANT to bring a few, but I'd rather hear reasons why they are good / bad first before I buy a few...
I mean I'm sure my social life in wargaming is like most where a game occurs perhaps once a week on weekends, I'd rather not waste 3 hours bringing something that will simply explode when a stiff breeze comes by lol
That being said I'm no power gamer, I understand that things need to go boom <3 But I and my friends, like to play to win So competitively, do they function? Do they make up their point values? Do people have niches for them?

yea, the main problem with chariots IMO, especially the blood throne, is a herald on jjuggernaut does the same job but its cheaper and more survivable ( can join squads)
same goes for the slaan chariots, the heralds on mounts do it better. although the idea of running mass amounts of slaan chairiots seems really cool! but they are super squishy, av 10? 2hp, open topped... no thanks.
the tz chariot needs a massive rules update, its currently useless.
and nurgle has none.
also as said above, the skull cannon has a place because of the assault grenade effect, but competes with soulgrinders and princes for heavy suppourt, making it a no go for me.
i wish they would have made heralds a 1-3 elite slot, instead of hq choice. i also wish they had done the same thing with dark apostles in the csm codex, but I'm just rambling now lol.
anyhow that's my 2.c

I agree zachwho, the competition between Soul Grinders and almost anything else in the HS section, is kinda a no brainer...
I find it exceptionally depressing that the Tzeenchian chariot hasn't been FAQd yet =/ How long has it been now?
A few months?... =/

Most of the daemon chariots are made to get into CC, but with AV10 in the rear don't fare so well there.
And the non-Khorne ones are too fragile. The Khorne one at least can survive some fire.

I usually run two seeker chariots at 1500 with my daemonette/seeker horde list. The way I look at it, it's a cheap fire magnet that is in my opponent's face turn 1. It gives my daemonettes and keeper of secret at least another turn to move up the board possibly unmolested. And if the opponent doesnt take care of them then they get hit with hammer of wrath attacks. The best part is if they assault and destroy the chariot they cant consolidate so now they are that much closer to be charged themselves.
I think they can work pretty well in a list that takes advantage of their fragility.

I really like the idea of six seeker chariots in a list that focuses on speed and a high number of threatening units. I think they could really shine there. The only thing putting me off is the question of how the hell I'm going to transport them!!
