Hey dakka, I know this is mostly WLG, PP, and GW supported on here, but has anybody played mongoose publishing's judge dredd game? it is surprisingly fun.

The basic game is just some models moving around a table shooting eachother, simple die mechanics, and pretty epic combats.

Has anybody got their feet wet with this yet?

I recommend taking a look at it, and atleast getting a demo model. the rules are free.

so if anybody is currently playing, please vouch for me when I say it is super fun, and for anybody interested google judge dredd miniatures

Not since the previous version of the game.
And before that, not since the GW Judge Dredd games of the 80s.

I'm waiting for the last of my KS stuff to arrive. Then I'll paint them. Then I'll see about playing it.

I spent yesterday at a very nice tournament in Peterborough playing Dredd - 4 * 500 cred battles followed by a 4 player each side mega showdown with re-enforcements and bonus named characters for each player.

Good fun was had

I didnt have any of Mongoose's Dredd stuff until the Kickstarter, and have now painted up 89 figures which means I pretty much have enough to run my own mini-tournament - most games only need 4 - 5 figures per side. I still have lots waiting in my to be painted pile as well as what Mongoose are still producing.
