Hey guys,

I have a local tourney coming up. I have been practicing with this allies combination for a while at the 1500 point mark. I need help expanding!

DE
Archon
9 warriors, raider
10 warriors, raider

3 ravagers

Eldar
Spirit seer
Wraith Knight with sword and shield
Wraith blades with axes in wave serpent with bright lances and holo fields

Total: 1281

I have a dark eldar jet, a ton more wyches (40) a ton more warriors and raiders, and like 15 de jet bikes. That is all the eldar I have but I am going to try to get a crimson hunter if I can. Thoughts? Help?

Ok so..how about this:

Archon, blaster
4 blaster true born, in raider

3x 10 warriors in a raider
3 ravagers

Spirit seer
Wraith knight with sword
Wraith blades in serpent with lance

This leaves me 137 points!

Quick question, can I fire a splinter cannon out of a raider if it moves?

I think you should put the Archon into the Wraithblade unit as he benefits greatly from T6 and a 2++ is always helpful. Since they are running in a wave serpent with a capacity 12, you are obviously running 5 blades with a spiritseer, you might as well add in the Archon. Wraithblades suffer most from lack of attacks, those a Djin blade wielding Archon has in droves (4 base plus pistol plus 3 from blade and charge=8 attacks) and he benefits a lot from the runes of battle table. Tool him up with either Djin blade, shadowfield, combat drugs and haywire grenades so they can take on big units of everything,or Same with huskblade and blaster if they are targeting TEQ/Monsters. That should add on a good few points. Warriors need splinter cannons to be useful when backfield camping. That should be a good 80/90pts there so with the last points i would give serpent holos if it needs them, warrior raiders nightshields (Makes you all but invulnerable to melta and with premeasuring you can get in close, then kill the people in range to shoot you next turn. I think thats all your points gone!

**TIP** Don't always stay in your raiders! Some armies are garenteed to pop them first turn with the explosion killing a lot of warriors. When against these armies pile the warriors into area terrain preferably by an objective and go to ground if the fighting gets tough. Then the raiders make less appealing targets and should they live to the end, then can ferry your troops to the objectives. Raiders are deathtraps, treat them as such.

Yes, but if you have to fire its assault profile, and you can only move 6 inches. If you move more, then you have to snap fire, but a smart thing is THEN you can use your heavy profile, becuase you can only snap fire once (Your meant to snap fire for moving heavy, but your snapfiring anyway!) so you might as well take the extra shots.

Can the archon go in the transport? I didn't think allies, even battle brothers could use each others transports. If that is so, I may drop the blaster born down and take a venom instead.

I have a lot of mech and wraith knights in my meta and I am trying to put a bunch of lances on the field. The serpent has holos.

Don't ever take a sword Wraithknight. The only thing the sword does for him is give him ONE reroll. Nothing more. If you really must have the scattershield, take the Suncannon instead.

Also always take Scatterlasers on your Serpents. Brightlance would be the next best choice, but this is the case of the second best choice being faaaaaar behind the best one.

And no, allies can't ride in each other's vehicles. Not even Battle-Brothers. That's about the only restriction they have.

I want the sword because it gives me the shield at the cheapest option. I want this guy to be a bullet catcher.

If I had the points I would just use another group of wraith guard in a serpent, but alas I don't have them or the models. Is the purpose of the SL to twin link the serpent shield?

Actually, with the new bladestorm rules, shuriken cannons are pretty much tied with scatter lasers in effectiveness
