Thoughts? I think the Grav Rifles were built for bikes. Always being relentless means the guarenteed 3 shots and when i hit ap5 or low toughness ap 4 I can swap to the twin linked bolters.

I agree that grav guns are an auto-include on bikes. But I don't like your Captain + Command load out. It currently runs at 445 points.

My advice is either:

Forget about combat and go Libby+ bike + Command with 5 Grav guns for 295 (I'd find the points to run 2 such units, dropping a Storm talon practically gets you there).

Or put Kahn in for 42" turn 1 threat range and still go with 2 commands.

Or give that Bike Captain either the burning sword instead of the TH so you go first dropping a few LCs to pay for it to help keep the squad alive in combat. Or go tank on him and upgrade the SS to Shield Eternal. Either way your Captain becomes so much more a threat that the unit over all is better in CC even with a few extra LCs.

Not sure if you are willing to run FW but the hyperios will cover the air while everything else bombs the ground, grav will take out anything non hordy and the thunderfire cannons are there for horde.

If i was going to go 1850 i would add 2 more hyperios and finish fleshing out the command squad

White scars without khan is missing something. khan's scout gives you turn 1 shooting gauranteed. Also turn 1 charging if you go 2nd.

Add to that a runepriest with a 24" deny bubble and you have a good shot at stalling psychic buff heavy armies. Also Jawws is deadly against certain opponents and being able to hit and run with it, and shoot multiple times per game is amazing.

I think your lacking that punch to follow up the shooting of the bikes. Your command squad isn't all that scary and can be shot down relatively quickly as you have to pass aything str 10 ap2 from your captain to a cover save.

to mess your lists up, but "Command Squads" cant take grav guns... only pistols.

1) I would take out the Captain for Khan, giving them scout seems perfect.
2) Let's hope they make clear if Apothecary can take a Grav-gun, I'm basing my list on yes (No discussion wanted, take it to YMDC)
3) Why Lightning Claws? Anything with 2 or 3+ will be dead due to the 12-15 Grav-shots.
I would skip them and save 60 points.
4) That's a lot of melta, maybe even overkilling it since Grav seems good enough against Vehicles.
My plan is to take 3/4 full Squads and Combat Squad them.

Stormtalons are a good idea!
I was already planning on Hunters as AA, but HS needs more Thunderfire Cannons.

Another idea I have is to take some scouts with LSS, so I can Blind squads and Snipe some characters away.
