Title says it all really. Any C+C would be nice. Please note that the yellow is muted a LOT by the camera. In reality it is as bright and yellow as any self respecting shade of yellow should be. I really would not like feedback on the yellow.

I generally like the whole thing but I can't help but think maybe making a few more of the separate panels on the jet pack/torso section white would break up the "I am extra blue" flat look I get from the top half of the model. Other than that I really like the color scheme.

Great technique, but the scheme is very low contrast. Makes it look flat.

I'll second the notion that the quality of the painting is excellent, however you need more contrast of colors. It just doesn't really pop. Definitely needs something to break up the blue. Great work, othewise!

What I find the most impressive about the model is the edge highlighting. That is some masterful edgework, sir. I applaud you.

Looks great. That blue is uncommon enough to be really striking. Looks smooth as well. Agree with above post. The edge highlights show patience and expertise.

To be a bit critical. The white looks amazing but as others have said the blus is a hair overwhelming. Breaking it up with a panel or two more in that awesomely executed white would help that.

Overall though no real complaints. Its a very nice Riptide. Good work sir!

Thanks very much everyone for the kind words! After painting a few crisis suits with this style I didn't realise quite how long a riptide would take...

With these tau I've been experimenting with top down lighting by painting any panels facing upwards a lighter shade of blue and working darker the more the panels tilt down, and it's been good fun

I will add a few more white panels in then as that seems to be the consensus. To be honest I struggles to find areas to apply the white and yellow that looked natural. Maybe I should paint the large panel on the side of the backpack white, I think the only thing that is holding me back from that is the amount of effort it would take!

To be honest I don't think I photographed it very well from the front - I might take another couple when I finish my first kroot mercenary

The basing makes it very unique in my opinion. Looks like it has taken a lot of effort to pose that giant! Well done!

Might I suggest for white panels the lip of the vent behind the head, the outside inner panels of the jetpack, and the front two plants on the chest (Where the Tau symbols is stopping at the neck gaurd).

This sounds great to me - nice idea on the one behind his head, I hadn't considered that at all!

It was an interesting challenge to pose him, the kit clearly has a lot of scope for different poses but I didn't dare go too adventurous with just one attempt. I think you'd really have to know what you were doing and how everything fit together before you started and I was a bit keen to get him all made up lol
