So our lgs is about to start a 500 point tournament that I would like to get in on. 2 models I don't have for necrons are wraiths and scythes. I play strictly for fun so no cheese for me. I am a big fan of ani barges tho. Here's a rough draft of what I came up with, definitely needs some tweaking.

List comes to 497 points
+ HQ + (135pts)

Looks solid. 2 a-barges at 500 points will be a bear to deal with, as most armies wont have many weapons to stop them.

As much as it pains me to say this, I would drop the mindshackle scarabs. At this low of point levels, your just not going to find many dedicated murder sarges or HQ's. An overlord is fairly tough in CC, but hopefully you can just avoid combat altogether. With the points saved, you get another warrior, which synergizes with your res orb and yields more dakka to prevent assault altogether. With the remaining points, I would take a gauntlet of fire. The template may prove handy, and the overwatch again helps negate assault. In combat, it makes your lord decent so long as he survives. For any higher point level, you would obviously need scarabs and a scythe, but for a low point game should do the job.

Makes total sense. I know that 2 annihilation barges on such a low poin game may be seen as cheese but I just couldn't help myself. Especially knowing my dad will be in the tournament as well with a pretty solid ork army.

Obviously due to FO I had to have 2 troop choices. Do you see or think the little squad of 5 may be a weak point?

Updated. Still worried about the 5 warriors. Thinking I can just have them follow behind the squad of 9 and lord. They won't benefit from the res orb but won't be able to be targeted and wiped out for easy points.
