If you wanna just throw models down and roll some dice stick with the list as is. If you want some thing that hits a little harder drop the regen, acid blood on the tyrant. Drop the licters, rippers, warriors. Add tervigons or doom.

Don't post individual point values.

Its okay to have the total point value for a the unit but j ot each individual upgrade.

Read the forum rules for more info otherwise a mod might come in and explain it/change it for you

Tyranid Warriors are not that bad. You just have to look out for instakills.

You could also save points to gear up your units for either cc or shooting but not both.
Pick another unit to throw into combat and give them cc upgrades.

If your going to take rippers take spinefists to give them something to do when not in combat since their high amounts of attacks makes spinefists (almost) worth it

I plan on using the hive tyrant as ranged anti-tank, the termagants as anti-marine, with thirty shots they should capably butt-hurt anything not in terminator armour. Than the hormagaunts will be tying up terminators or equivelent with some help from the warriors, finally the carnifex and rippers will go warlord hunting.

My two cents?

HVC may disappoint you, devourers might work better, and hive guard or zoanthropes in a spore are probably best for ranged anti tank.
Lictors are a bit underwhelming (though the deathleaper can be fun), which is a shame as they are such cool units.
Warriors are not the best either, but not as bad as some say. As mentioned, beware of krak missiles. Also I would make a choice between ranged and CC, maybe dropping the rending claws to keep points down.
My Tyranid playing mate had some great success using tunneling rippers to disrupt my forces so I will never slate them again! However, this was a game without objectives. In your current list they may be better suited holding a backfield objective.
On a similar note I would seriously suggesting expanding those gant/gaunt broods to give you a few more boots (claws?) on the ground.

If you are looking for spare points I would think very hard about including armoured shell, regen and acid blood at 1000 points. The first two in particular can be great (perhaps necessary if you aren't taking wings) but they send the cost sky high. At the moment that one model is using over a quarter of your available points.

warriors are best with devourers and scything talons..and 1 Bstrangler for range!...cheapest way and most efective!!

Warriors are as tough as Terminators vs small weapons fire, but anything that instakills them should be avoided like the plague.
