Hi guys! I'm very new to W40K and planning to start my epic wargaming adventures with Tyranids (500 points) I first got interested in w40k when I saw the awesome novel covers at Barnes n Nobles. I did some research on the warhammer logo I saw on the back of the novels and found out it was a wargame with amazingly detailed terrain and models that just instantly got me hooked. I bought the rulebook and did extensive internet research and found that Tyranids suited me best. Now I'm just building different army lists so I can tell my mom what to get me for Xmas. Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and I'd also be thrilled to find some local players or nearby club (I live in Fair Oaks, California)

I want a suburban home.

Welcome to the world of Warhammer 40K! It's a great hobby, and a great game to play! It's been my favorite since the beginning of of Rogue Trader which evolved to what we play now. Some pretty decent novels too, I enjoy Dan Abnett's science fiction novels in the 40K universe.
Welcome aboard Dakka! Great to have you here!

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of the women.

Welcome to Dakkadakka!
While they're great on their own, I find reading 40k novels a lot more rewarding now that I know the 40k universe well.
I hope your reading experience is enriched by your 40k collecting, and vice versa!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...
