There is a griffon for sale on forgeworld but like all their other stuff it's a bit pricey...

I like this list.

IMHO I would drop one Veteran squad with plasma guns and give them to your CCS. At the moment your CCS is wasted with only an auto cannon. With 4 plasma guns it uses your CCS BS4.

This will give you 2 options. Keep it at the back and counter deep striking infantry. Or you send in your CCS with the veterans attack.

I thought about that but I usually keep them near the platoon for orders. What if I drop a Infantry squad and the commissar?

Could drop the 2 griffons and take a quad gun

This is simple,

Keep the list as is, drop two chimeras (one from the meltagun squad and one from a Plasma gun squad) and then put those two squads in your two vendettas.

Use the remaining points to put a meltagun or two somewhere such as the CCS to take advantage of the BS:4 guardsmen.

That leaves your list functionally very similar to how you've been running it, you'll just have to use the vendetta's a little more carefully and try to drop those veteran squads somewhere they'll do some good.

Your mileage may vary, but that's what I would do.

Good list, and nice to see a fellow Vostroyan player on here. I have a very similar list, but I've subbed out the Manticore for a Leman Russ Battle Tank and run Grey Knight Allies instead of multiple Veteran Squads.

Let me know how it plays at this point value if you would please.

Hope this helps, take it easy.

You don't know me son, so I'll explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

I'd have to second this. Really does make the most sense.

One of the vendettas is is transporting the PCS around, but putting the melt as in another is an idea.

Honestly, you could just leave the PCS out of a vendetta and keep them in the middle of/near the Infantry Squad (Or squads if you don't blob them into one big 30 man unit)

That'll give your gun line some help in the anti-horde department should something get close to your ADL. Something gets close, the PCS can hop the wall and drop four flamers on it.

That'll let you run the other Veteran squad in the second Vendetta.

Just a thought. Losing 100 points out of your force, you're going to have to make some concessions somewhere. Shaving the Chimeras retains your infantry count, (Namely troop infantry) and you don't lose out on mobility, it's just more risky dropping them out of Vendetta obviously. But as I said, your mileage may vary.

Good luck sir. Hope it helps as I said.

Take it easy.

At that point just add in a 3rd vendetta to truly dominate the air, or use a Valkyrie with rocket pods. Basically your army has horde covered with the manticore and griffons so I would just go with the 3rd vendetta.

I would have to buy another vendetta though, and I really don't want a 3rd one.

Maybe a Psyker battle squad? Or Primaris Psyker to go in with the Platoon?

Yea vendettas are big and can be a pain to transport or even build to start with.

Ive never used the psykers for IG so I wouldnt know where to help ya with them.

I have never had much luck with Psyker Battle Squads so I am not sure about them. And my main opponent is Nids so with SOTW Battle Squads kinda suck. Lol

What about squeezing in some SW allies?
