Ok I'm doing a pre heresy emperors children army with iron hands chapter tactics (ironic I know seeming fulgrim kills there primarch). As with a lot of iron hands lists I have lots of av13. I am also entering this army for armies on parade so it will always have the honour guard in a LR.

Ok so that's the list. I know the dread drop pods are a bit of a dick move but it's the only way to make them survive. Love the look of the palatine blades squad from forge world so I'm using it as my honour guard. I like the dakkapreds they seem to pump out a lot of shots and with the switch too mass str 6-7 weapons they look quite survivable especially with it will not die rolls. Please comment and criticise love to see what people think.

Ok, I'm gonna state the obvious. You've got no AA whatsoever.

Apart from that though, looks good.

The two dakka preds will deal ok with incoming flyers, as long as you deploy them to cover the majority of your army. Otherwise looks pretty solid! The Palantine Blade models are gorgeuous, and will make truly lovely honour guards. One thought would be using the Fulgrim model for your chapter master. Makes for a great centrepiece model.

Yeah but I would feel nervous converting it. Yeah I know I don't have AA but there isn't that many flyer heavy lists in my meta and a stalker isn't exactly pre heresy

Dakka preds are not sufficient AA.

If you don't want flyers or hunter/stalker, what about the hyperios missile defense batteries. Cheap and effective. As long as forgeworlds ok that is.

Taking a man off each tactical and making it the skyfire land raider thats 2 1/3 chance lass cannon shots and an 8/9 chance missile to hit a flyer
